@repubsile,I don't think anyone is in doubt that he is not alone in this kind of dumping that is exactly why he should be made an example like ND said and just maybe others would think twice before they do it. His workers should not be off scott free, either.

In my opinion those charges do not go nearly far enough! He should have his businesses closed down and auctioned off. The proceeds should go toward the clean-up effort with his bank accounts covering the rest. All of his other equity should be sold off/cashed out and held in trust to pay for those damaged by his actions. The rest of his life should be spent in jail. What he did was an act of treason against his own country and its civilians.

While Republican Ideology pollutes water sheds with fracking waste (carcinogens), innocent people will pay the price with Cancers all for the sake of Money Money Money. That's Free Enterprise for you. The Private sector can never be trusted regulated or unregulated. The Lying Stealing Private Sector. It's the Bottom Line that counts. MONEY MONEY MONEY.
Thank God that there's No Money, Banks, Companies, Business, Corporations,Wall Streets and Republicans who run them In God's Kingdom of Heaven.

This environmental terrorist did not get nailed, Mike. You already left him off the hook and gave him a free pass from jail after posting bond. And with your stupid comment it is doubtful he will spend any time in jail despite his colossal crimes against the public. Compare that to an elderly Amish bishop who did nothing and was thrown into jail without bond and now rots there for the next 15 years. Not sure if that makes the criminal justice system around here a comedy or a tragedy or both.

Anyone who thinks that Lupo is the only "business man" who is dumping illegally, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

First, I'm glad they're talking jail time instead of just fines. I think that would hit him harder. I don't know how much money this man has, or how much money his business friends have, but I'm in favor of jail time, plus the fine.
Second, I think it was very unprofessional of DeWine to say, "They nailed him." The trial hasn't even taken place and Lupo pleaded not guilty. No one nailed anyone. Just another politician looking for headlines? Well, he got 'em--thank to our friends at the Trib.

If Al-Qaeda was caught deliberately dumping poison into our water it would be called an act of terrorism punishable by death??? Why should it be different for this scum bag??

If, and do stress IF Lupo got max of 3 years, it Probaly will be in a country club white collar prison. Rather see him do a year in Mahoning county jail and State take everything and anything of value and liquidate from this Hogg.
