Hope, and I stress Hope this company Expands and Invests into future operations, (as well as safety issues for workers, because Fed, and state safety standards are not enough). Would like to see company hire more people and yes pay them competitively, PROVIDED, MARMEL, production increases as well as profits, hope greed doesn't creep in on owners/upper management. Go ahead Marmel take your shots...

$92 billion is spent on corporate subsidies. So, the government spent 50% more on corporate welfare than it did on food stamps and housing assistance.

Consider, for a moment the sorrow in the eyes of a CEO who’s just found out that his end-of-year bonus is only going to be a paltry $12.3 million.

And generally paid for by the tax payer. Just ask the laughing Walmart owners.

gargano, the situation you describe HAS taken place before, but I doubt that this company is going to spend $20 million just to save $107,483.

ok, pay attention and look at the past. yes it's new jobs, but it won't last. these companies that get these tax abatements, use that to generate great profits. what happens after the 10 year abatment.......... they LEAVE. they close up shop and go somewhere else and start over with another tax abatement. in the mean time, the jobs they brought are gone. the community never gets even. the 10 years of payroll taxes never come close to matching the tax abatements.
