Brother Baker lived under close supervision at the monestary since 2000 due to alegations of molestation.

Boycott the catholic church for not coming forward to police. They protect predators.

Murray is again telling half-truths. The paltry, belated abuse steps he cites here are mandatory. They're required by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. So he's basically bragging about paying his taxes or stopping at traffic signals - things he has to do, not things he deserves credit for. And these steps involve lay people. There never have been, and still aren't, any consequences for clerics like Murray who ignore, minimize, conceal and enable child sex crimes. A fish rots from the head down. So if top diocesan officials remain corrupt, it matters little what "reforms" they force on lay people.

Enigma, not so much people defending this monster, as people attacking the victims only because of settlement money. Yea, sure there are a few who jumped aboard for easy bucks, but how does anybody know for sure and what the h e l l difference does it make? Maybe Catholic Church will wake-up, but doubt it. Denial and cover up is the norm for the Diocese.

This is "good news" for the victims. This is "very good news" for the questionable victims. Never the less, the money train will be in full force. This entire ordeal is nothing shy of sickening to begin with ......

I understand everyone handles things in their own way. What I don't get is if their trauma was so severe, how could they hide it. School personnel are trained to notice changes in a students behavior AND how to deal with it. Second,if they chose to hide it all these years, why was it important to go to the media after they got the money? It seems that publicity would be the last thing they would want.

Before any of you start defending this guy, Vindy reports that he left a note apologizing for the things he’s done. So he did it and the victims are telling the truth.
