There are people who change it's all in the person. Atleast he is admitting his faults and not making any excuses.

Only time will tell. The most powerful driving force on our planet is human will. Judge Mathis turned his life around so did some other's like Charles Dutton, hopefully he would change but I'll let "time" be the judge.

Six months of staying out of trouble with a history of 19 years of being a burden on society constitutes change? Giving credit for his short time of doing what he should have been doing all his life, If I was the judge I still would have had to hand down a minimum of 10-20. Multiple weapons violation and violent history in system would have led my decision. Good luck sir and truly hope you have learned your lesson.

It too easy to tell people what they want to hear. People can change but actions are stronger than words. If indeed this his a wake up call only time will tell. I'm for supporting those whom possess the desire the change. The fact is that you can not help someone who doesn't want help. I also DO NOT agree that once your brandished with a title, you always keep that title. Why? I know several success stories that make me proud!

Nice criminal record, it pales in comparison to many other thuggys and is a good case for our legislature to enact a three strikes and life in prison law.

Once a crook, almost always a crook. He'll do the same when he serves his time.
