Shoemaker 50th
Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Shoemaker of Howland celebrated their 50th anniversary with a celebration at DiLucia’s in Warren, on June 21, 2008. Approximately 200 family and friends attended. Lamar Shoemaker and the former Margery F. Burbick were married June 15, 1958, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in North Lima. In 1960, Margery and Lamar moved to Warren from Columbiana. Mr. Shoemaker retired from Ohio Edison Co. in 1994 with 38 years of service. Mrs. Shoemaker retired in 1997 from First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Warren with 38 years of service. The couple are active members of Living Lord Lutheran Church of Howland. Although the couple have no children, they have many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Shoemaker grew up with nine brothers and five sisters on a large farm in Columbiana. Mr. Shoemaker grew up with one sister in North Lima. The couple love to travel, play cards and all sports. They are especially avid fans of Warren Harding Raiders.
