St. Rose festival begins Thursday
The ST. ROSE PARISH SUMMER FESTIVAL will be held Thursday to Sunday at the church grounds off East Main Street and Route 422 in Girard. The festival is from 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday and 4 to 11 p.m. Sunday. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday. The festival will include homemade food, rides, games, bingo, a basket auction and a raffle. There will be nightly entertainment including Girard Community Band 6 to11 p.m. on Thursday, Great Pretenders and Y106.1 DJ from 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Crossroads from 5 to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Rudy and the Professionals from 4 to 11 p.m on Sunday. The TRUMBULL COUNTY FUNDER’S DAY for public water and wastewater projects will be held starting at 10 a.m. Thursday at Kent State University Trumbull Campus in Champion. Various state and federal agency representatives will attend to participate in the day-long seminar to discuss funding options available for different projects in Trumbull County.
