| | It was choc-o-holic heavenOctober 10, 2012 - Frank RobinsonI went to the Rotary Club of Warren's eighth annual Chocolate Festival Wednesday night, and it was better than ever. One person I talked with said there probably were 250 or so people there in the first hour. I would think to be a good guess. However, it is hard to estimate the number of people at the Packard Music Hall. And there was plenty of candy, too. And popcorn. And auction items. It was a good idea to have some 'real food' available too. I had a great pulled-pork sandwich and followed that with all kinds of candy and desserts. The overall atmosphere was jovial and upbeat. At a cost of $15 per person, $25 per couple and $10 for youth 12 and younger, it raises a lot of money for the Rotary Club. These particular funds are planned to go to the YWCA. Last year, 400 people came out and about $10,000 was raised. No figures are available yet, but I will post them as soon I know.
